The House of Childhood is a place where architecture, education, and daily care are shaped around the complex needs of at-risk children. But this school never existed. It was a detailed project envisioned by my father — one the system and the circumstances of 1990s Russia never allowed to be realized. I reconstruct my father's project while asking: was he truly left without a choice, or did he abandon the dream himself?
